An environment with a constant relative humidity of 90%, continuously flowing hot water and customer expectation is a difficult combination of factors for the design of the showers in a private health club where style is also high on the agenda.

Peter Ayley was asked to address the difficult technical problems inherent in the shower areas and to design a new shower cubicle. The technical issues were resolved into a detailed specification giving a range of finishes for each project architect to use.

The shower cubicle design focuses on reducing maintenance and uses new stainless steel castings modelled in plaster which hold together ceramic etched glass panels with a screen-printed design.
